PPF Supports Santa Barbara County: Help Support Our Programs & Services
Pacific Pride Foundation – a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization – provides a wide variety of programs and services to the HIV/AIDS and lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning (LGBTQ+) communities in Santa Barbara County. All of our programs are free or low cost and offered in English and Spanish through our offices in Santa Barbara and Santa Maria.
Pacific Pride has always been committed to building a safer, healthier, and more inclusive community. Our advocacy work lends a voice to LGBTQ+ issues and equality. Our specialized services target unique populations and sensitive subjects. And our social events foster pride in our community.
Our programs, LGBTQ+ competency training, outreach, events and services deliver to over 10,000 people each year and we continue to be the largest LGBTQ+ Center along the Central and South Coast.
Your generous donations help Pacific Pride Foundation continue this essential work year after year. The following are just a few examples of what we have been able to accomplish, thanks to the support of our community, in the past year.
- We have trained thirteen volunteer HIV test counselors to educate and test where we see the rise in the epidemic – among the Latino community, gay and bisexual men and women with children.
- We opened a new testing day to serve the community of Lompoc, and provide testing and exchange services to a previously under-served population of our county.
- We have expanded our LGBTQ+ competency and anti-bullying training into schools, senior facilities, police departments and businesses across the Central Coast.
- Our youth services have expanded to a substantive LGBTQ+ Youth Program in schools in all corners of our County. We are nurturing gay straight student alliances, which have proven to drastically reduce LGBT suicide rates, dropout rates and reduce a culture of bullying within schools.
Every donation is tax-deductible and goes toward Pacific Pride Foundation’s programs and services.
