PPF Supports Santa Barbara County: Help Support Our Programs & Services
Pacific Pride Foundation (PPF) – a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization – provides a wide range of programs and services for the HIV/AIDS and lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ+) communities across Santa Barbara County. All of our programs are free or low-cost and offered in English and Spanish through our offices in Santa Barbara and Santa Maria.
Building Community, Health, and Pride
For decades, Pacific Pride has been committed to creating a safer, healthier, and more inclusive community. Our programs center the diverse needs of LGBTQ+ people and those impacted by HIV/AIDS. From professional LGBTQ+ counseling services to monthly community-building lunches and activities that bring people together in joy and connection, PPF nurtures belonging at every age and stage of life.
Through our Lavender Elders program, LGBTQ+ seniors find affirming spaces to share their stories, combat isolation, and celebrate resilience. For youth, our services provide safe spaces, mentorship, and leadership opportunities—helping to reduce bullying, suicide risk, and school dropout rates.
Impact by the Numbers
Each year, our advocacy, programs, outreach, and events reach over 10,000 people, making PPF the largest LGBTQ+ Center along California’s Central and South Coast.
Thanks to your support, here’s what we’ve been able to accomplish:
- Over 25 trained volunteer HIV test counselors now provide education and free testing where HIV remains most prevalent—among the Latino community, gay and bisexual men, and women with children.
- Expanded testing days, including new services in Lompoc, bringing HIV testing and syringe exchange programs to previously underserved communities.
- Growth of LGBTQ+ competency and anti-bullying trainings across schools, senior facilities, police departments, and businesses throughout the Central Coast.
- Substantive LGBTQ+ Youth Programs in schools countywide, supporting Gender & Sexuality Alliances (GSAs) that drastically reduce bullying and foster inclusion.
- Community events that spark pride, joy, and connection—from monthly mixers and senior gatherings to large-scale celebrations like the Pacific Pride Festival.
Every donation is tax-deductible and fuels Pacific Pride Foundation’s work to protect, empower, and uplift LGBTQ+ people across the Central Coast.
