Julio C. Roman (he/him) | Executive Director

Julio C. Roman is Pacific Pride Foundation, Executive Director, Julio is a transformative Latinx LGBTQIA+ advocate, celebrated author & organizational strategist,with 25 years devoted to advancing public health equality and social justice movements. His relentless pursuit to forge safe spaces for LGBTQIA+ individuals and combat the stark health disparities linked to HIV/AIDS underscores his profound commitment to these causes.

His advocacy has resonated at the highest echelons of policy and governance, earning him accolades and recognition on platforms like Capitol Hill, State Department, and the United Nations, not to mention his features on “Out 100: The LGBT Power List” and CRAINs Business New York’s list of Notable Hispanic Business & LGBTQ Leaders to watch.

Roman’s commitment extends through his board memberships with the ARK of Freedom Alliance, the Puerto Rican Family Institute, and the Association of Latino Professionals for America. As a PRIDE leadership lead for The Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement (HACE), Roman is instrumental in mentoring the next generation of Latinx leaders.

His publication, “Out of Space: Creating Safe Spaces in Unlikely Places,”  a memoir and leadership guide delves into the imperative of inclusivity. Through these endeavors, Julio Roman continues to champion serious activism and leadership, making indelible contributions to the well-being and recognition of LGBTQIA+ and marginalized communities.
