The Campaign for the Chad Robert Phillips Memorial Fund

Santa Barbara resident Chad Phillips was a creative, fun-loving, beautiful young man with a loving family and friends. Like many members of the LGBTQ+ community, he was also plagued by demons and used alcohol to numb the pain. In August 2020, he tragically lost his life at the age of 37.

Clay Tedeschi, a Santa Barbara philanthropist and long-time PPF supporter, was Chad’s friend. To honor his life and to ensure other young LGBTQ+ people struggling with mental health and addiction issues get the care they need to overcome childhood trauma and thrive, Clay pledged $250,000 to create the Chad Robert Phillips Memorial Fund, a permanent fund within PPF’s endowment.

PPF is currently launching a campaign to match Clay’s generous pledge. Once the fund reaches $500,000 in assets, annual earnings will support our youth programs and counseling services for youth and anyone affected by adverse childhood experiences.

With your help we can reach more people in need, especially our youth. Please give to our Chad Robert Phillips Memorial Fund Campaign today.
