Pacific Pride Festival

The Santa Barbara Pacific Pride Festival is held in July at Leadbetter Beach in Santa Barbara, CA. Pride's mission is to build community, foster visibility, and celebrate sexual & gender diversity while raising funds for LGBT programs and services in Santa Barbara County. The Pacific Pride Festival is directed by an all-volunteer committee that works closely with Pacific Pride Foundation, a 501(c)3 non profit organization, to produce Santa Barbara's largest LGBT Pride Celebration.

About The Pride Festival

Santa Barbara's only major Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered, and Queer Pride celebration

The Pacific Pride Festival is directed by an all-volunteer committee that works closely with Pacific Pride Foundation to produce Santa Barbara's only major Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered, and Queer Pride celebration. The festival returned to Santa Barbara in 2007 after a 6 year hiatus to greet thousands of revelers, and it has been a popular hit in the community ever since.

The Festival culminates with a week long Pride Week celebration, which the Committee hopes will bring together our community and help sew pride and community in Santa Barbara. Check out the online calendar for the very latest schedule of Pride events in the lush American Riviera.

Santa Barbara's only major Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered, and Queer Pride celebration

The steering committee works hard year round with sponsors, donors, community leaders, and Pacific Pride Foundation, but we can only produce the festival and the many fundraisers it takes to put it on with the help of supportive volunteers. Local Pride events are more relevant today than ever given the increased focus on the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered communities in recent years---particularly in California---and we need your help more than ever to make sure that Santa Barbara's Pride event flourishes.

Santa Barbara's only major Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered, and Queer Pride celebration

Volunteers are critical to the success of the Pacific Pride Festival.

The steering committee works hard year round with sponsors, donors, community leaders, and Pacific Pride Foundation, but we can only produce the festival and the many fundraisers it takes to put it on with the help of supportive volunteers. Local Pride events are more relevant today than ever given the increased focus on the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered communities in recent years and we need your help more than ever to make sure that Santa Barbara's Pride event flourishes.

Volunteers at past pride events have taken on such tasks as staffing various areas of the festival grounds, traveling to regional Pride festivals to promote Santa Barbara's event during the months leading up to July, decorating the festival grounds with balloon arches and flyers, directing vendors to their booths, and serving refreshments to festivalgoers.

Consider donating some of your time or talents to make a positive difference for Santa Barbarans, gay or straight alike. No volunteering offer is too large or too small!

Please contact Teresa or call her at 805-349-9947 to sign up.

Sponsors

The Pacific Pride Festival drew 4-5,000 attendees annually, and is the largest LGBT Pride celebration on the Central Coast.  Featuring a week of social events, live entertainment, vendors, and activities the day of the Festival, the Pacific Pride Festival is an excellent opportunity to reach an enthusiastic and supportive crowd.

The LGBT market is the third largest minority market in the United States. The median household income for gays & lesbians is $80,000, almost double the national medium of $43,000. 88 percent of gay men and 91 percent of lesbians also report that their purchasing decisions are favorably influenced by corporate sponsorships of LGBT events and participation in LGBT charities. The Associated Press called it "Advertising's most elusive yet lucrative target market." Pacific Pride is offering your company an opportunity to tap in to this precise market.

Consider becoming a sponsor of the 2013 Pacific Pride Festival - download our Sponsorship Brochure to get started.

Pride Week and the Pacific Pride Festival are an investment in the visibility, unity, and well-being of the LGBT community of the Central Coast.  Pride Events also represent a large financial committment, and Pacific Pride relies on the generosity of our community to ensure that we are able to keep the Festival admission-free and Pride Week events low-cost to the public.  Every dollar is truly a gift.

Consider making a tax-deductible donation to Pacific Pride Festival. Your support will dirctly enable the Festival committee to unite and embolden our community in a year that has brought dramatic political and social challenges to LGBT Californians.
